The Veridion System

Three factions divide the system. A fourth is not named, not registered, and not interested in the distinction.

Three megacorporations cut across faction territory under their own contractual authority. They are not governments. They have more power than most governments and none of the accountability.

At the outer edge of the system, near the gravitational shadow of a dead ice planet, something is transmitting on a frequency that no one has found a source for. The scientists at Hephaistos-9 were studying it. Then someone sent a kill team.

At the gravitational centre of the system, something else is beginning to materialise. Bluish. Plasma-adjacent in the EM signature. Growing.

Both things may be related. Neither is understood.
